You can set up it during initial wallet setup or find it in the Accounts section of your wallet settings. Once set, it’s bound to your wallet and cannot be deleted, only changed.

Your Recovery Code is your ultimate safeguard. It’s encrypted within your Herond Account’s Sync file and is essential for recovering your wallet and funds if you forget your password. However, it’s crucial to understand that you are solely responsible for protecting your Recovery Code. Herond Labs does not have access to your Sync file, so we cannot assist you if you lose it.

Herond Wallet operates on a self-custody model, meaning you have complete control over your wallet and are solely responsible for protecting your Recovery Code. Only you possess the master key, which offers significant advantages:

Never share your RC with anyone, under any circumstances. No legitimate entity, including Herond Labs, will ever ask for your Recovery Code. Anyone requesting this information is attempting to scam you.
